Leschi — A Neighborhood Branding Case Study
Branding
Student—Cornish College of the Arts, Sophomore
As a school assignment during my sophomore year at Cornish College of the Arts, we were asked to visit, research, and then brand a local Seattle neighborhood.
The neighborhood that I received was Leschi, Seattle, Washington. The area is located approximately 15 min. southeast of downtown Seattle.

Exclusivity

Inclusivity.
The overall vibe that Leschi tends to emulate is that of luxury and exclusivity to many outside the area. Leschi has many large mansions, pricey dining, and gated off docks that may give off an unwelcoming interpretation of the area. After visiting the area it was surprising to find that the neighborhood is actually very friendly. It was my desire to portray this more friendly side of Leschi in its overall branding.

The label is removable with a colorful infographic on the inside, which can then be easily folded and recycled. The bottles can be cleaned and reused or returned and refilled. The new packaging helps elevate the product and be even more eco-friendly.
